HEAT WAVE.......

I remember the year of the HEAT WAVE in Georgia...2007, I think....home owners were ordered, with threats of punishment by fines or jail-time, for having their thermostats 'under 78F', to suffer the heat....while K-Mart and Sam's Club Supermarts had their electric doors, fully open....with Arctic-cold, 65F air whooshing out into their parking lots.....with full impunity, of course...and a few million cars, running their A/C full-tilt, ejected hot exhaust fumes into the already 106F air....Eventually, there was a 'brown-out' as electric power was shut down in 'Poor (Black) neighborhoods' so that there'd be 'enough' electricity to keep the big N.W. Atlanta mansions cool and comfortable.......Likewise...during the 'water restrictions', when folks were 'ordered; to NOT water outdoor plants/lawns or wash their cars......the enormous sprinklers were, constantly, "ON" at the Governor's Mansion...in Buckhead......  But, on a 'cooler' note...........watch an old Musical on TCM....in 'the A/C'.......
