early training....brainwashing.....of infants, insures that The Great Plastic Inevitability and Materialism of X-Mas will supplant the Emotional challenge of just sharing Love and Affections.........In another few years, for the children, then teenagers.....it'll be Cha-Cha heels.......perched, wrapped and bowed on the Landing strips of sequined cotton matting surrounding trees, posing like cut flowers, wrapped in colored lights and plastic ornaments, that are the centerpieces of hundreds of millions of homes........Then, in time for "New Year's"......millions of tons of crushed paper, ripped ribbons, empty boxes, paper labels, plastic ware and dead trees will line the Streets, to be crushed into the backs of garbage trucks......My suggestions that this immersion in indifference, cloaked in tinsel and foil, be abandoned and replaced with 'anything' that bypasses this mass delusional System.....were met with anger and annoyance by a couple of people.....'Play the Game......." I'm told....."It"'s for the Children......Yeah, I know!......I'm just a 'Heavy'......but you can have my Grandmother's old 'bubble lights'.....yes....they're made of glass.....break them, barefoot, as the dog overturns the Tree and you can begin the ritual of Easter and Jesus' bloody feet.......Or just keep those plastic x'mas balls and go straight to the next Event.......There's a Firewalk next week just around the corner.....for the Pagan revelers........take that 'old' dried-out tree......The Lady's Not for Burning, so return her to the Hummel Box until Next Year.........that's what Trees are for, isn't it?....spreading colored 'electric' light on a Night that would, otherwise, just be lit by stars and moons......
