"I met Alice and they will be 30 next week." What's with the 'New English'?..... Why can't 'Alice' be referenced by "she"?
I've been 'accused' of being 'old school' or speaking/writing with outmoded/unfashionable grammar/rhetoric and with dogged attention to the relevance and meaning of words that are not just 'filler' or idiomatic slang..... I'm not budging on this issue, nevertheless......Do not follow either pop culture's inattention to communication 'skills' or meaningless and insubstantial dialogues.....And, do not set "The" President up as a role model....He has the language skills of a 'suited up' urban street thug, after all..... You know what 'They' say!
