NOW.....LUG ALL THIS TRASH FROM YOUR TRUNK TO YOUR KITCHEN........

I thought of the trillion pounds of paper and plastic that we will lug.....in the forms of wrappers, containers and boxes.....from our grocery stores this year......then, toss into the trash can after utilizing their contents......as I watched shoppers rolling their carts full of cans, bottles, boxes and crates and loading their loot into their gas-guzzling SUVs.......I felt a bit 'guilty' for having bought some Pellegrino flavored water......more aluminum cans, in cardboard containers.......when tap water would have sufficed to hydrate my body....I remember, well, all those 'curb markets' that were, once, in every town/city.....Shoppers brought old pillowcases or mesh potato bags... to hold the fresh-from-local farms produce....no paper....no plastic.....no cans....no bottles, .......just raw food.........
