C'mon....don't ask me to 'LIKE' some link to a link to a link.....Have something, personal, to express! I'm 'swearing off' the use of 'knee-jerk' Emoticons, because they express reactions rather than thoughts......and the dumbing down of our abilities to utilize language to communicate.......George Orwell predicted this decline, decades ago.....the "like" button is utilized a billion times more than thoughtful, insightful commentary......Donald Trump's sloppy redundances and grammatical indolence represent, to me, the Official Fall and Decline of American Speech.....Is anyone capable of utilizing our language to succinctly express themselves? Dottering Joe, fared a bit better in his 'solo' show, but, eventually, lapsed into pre-formed cookie talk....with sprinkles of lucid dreaming.......Trump offered up his own litany of 'thumbs up' gesturing, accompanied by his tapped-out pre-school nolo-intellectualism....and there were many of those 'likes'....for himself, of course.....Schools are 'out'......get your children, and...for some....yourselves, copies of American Composition and Rhetoric.....there must be some copies on EBAY.....It was, once, 'required' reading in many schools......Edith Wharton, what's your 'take' on the sorry state of American's communication skills? Kamala still rules the intelligentsia circuit boards........Like Annie Oakley, she can ride, lasso and shoot....at the same time......
