Until I was 28, an ounce of gold cost $35....so, If one made $105/week they could 'buy' 3 oz of the metal......Today, an ounce of gold costs almost $2000......So.....one would have to 'make' almost $6000/wk to have an equivalent income, based on the buck's (perceived) value, relative to the 'Cost of Gold'......thanks, President Nixon, for screwing with that!.....o,k, Drumph.....roll the presses and crank out some more practically worthless greenbacks......I can't find the Monopoly money....I think Barbie and Ken bought a plastic "play" garage with the "play" money.......They, certainly, can't afford 2 hotels on Broadway or Park Place......even when they're being sold, under the counter, to Polititicians....for 'back taxes'......into the gutter, plastic people.....Not much has changed, has it?
