Sept. 27, 1905 -Albert Einstein's paper "Does the Inertia of a Body Depend Upon Its Energy Content?", introducing the equation E=mc², was published...... After over a century......most folks still don't "get it"......Humans adapt to the 'luxury' of technological innovations much more easily than to the Science behind these developments....the average guy doesn't have much of a clue about how the appurtenances that he takes for granted actually work or the long-term ramifications of our technological prowess.....He feels empowered by his ability to press a button and have something happen, and that seems to be quite enough for him......If we had to 'understand' what is going on before engaging in "what is going on".....most of us would still be living in caves, fearing the Gods in the night sky and the creatures lurking at the entrances......
