TWITTER AND REVISIONIST HISTORY

Historical perspectives change with both the social needs of the general population and governmental control systems......Complex subjects such as America's participation in wars or world economics require great, penetrative investigations into sometimes thousands of components that create "HISTORY".....For example, Lyndon Johnson was given, in some perspectives, credit for ending the Vietnam war, when....actually....he was committed to sending a couple of hundred thousand additional troops to the area; but, when pressured to end student protests, he realized that there just weren't enough "troops" to go around.....solution: end a fruitless and costly war, then redistribute troops to "fight" protestors in his own country. Complex stuff at any real depth! The general populace is best 'managed' by feeding it only superficial information necessary to control and manipulate it. Popular social networks do just that. As Youth functions in the short and shallow trends of naivety, it can be engineered to do precisely and predicatively what is expected and required  of it....If any revisions are necessary to exercise control over it, a few keystrokes and patches will facilitate this......As new generations of citizens skim the surfaces, like seabirds with their beaks fishing for food near those surfaces, unaware of anything other than their need to feed and the spontaneous and instant gratification of their  needs, Goals are set and pursued, regardless of the long-term effect......
