this boxed set of "war" stories, including lots of "blow-em-ups" and racist anger sold out only hours after its publication.....advance tickets to Terminator Salvation, or is it Extinction?, are almost sold out, too.....Christian Bale, once a delicately sensitive-type actor, has been shown the money! Ice dance has been surplanted by action kick-throw-tackle sports and under-the-counter sales of cock fights and snuff films has never been more aggressive......it doesn't appear to me that the kick-em-in the-nuts before they kick you gene is anywhere near extinction....I'm still hopeful for a kinder, gentler humanity....but the cynical specter of disgust towers before me, threatening to stomp my butt.....
