other than the defective and failing microprocessor......a replacement valve, claims Whirlpool....while admitting "no responsibility to to product 'design' or 'effectiveness or longevity of it's Parts'......is 'offered', for $79.54 + postage and handling, of course......{cost of producing the valve is $3-4}.....so, in addition to being frustrated by the washer's inoperability, the 'Client" must be ripped off for 'Parts".....Welcome to American Consumerism Mentality......'just toss it to the landfill and 'buy' another one.......thank you Thomas Edison, for redesigning the 'last forever' lightbulbs with the "1000 hour" bulbs....There's METHOD and MOTIVE in Product Design.....I'm still using some Edison Light Bulbs that are, now, a century old..used with 'dimmers', to reduce current surges and filament deterioration......they are, still, fully operational.
