The 'traditional' chopping down has begun........billions of tawdry plastic/glass junk will hang from the branches of 40 million dying trees, stuck in metal 'holders'......billions of kilowatts of electricity, derived mainly from the burning of fossil fuels, will contribute to this yearly light show. Don't get soot on your fur trim, Santa.....or forget to change the batteries in Rudolph's noselight..... Light up those plastic Jesuses.....It's about time to forget the significant meaningfulness of ....well, everything!
